Fred Armstrong

Chief Production Officer

A multi-disciplined content creator, innovator, producer, and voice actor with over 40 years of experience in the professional entertainment and content production industries, Fred joined TONE in 2014 assisting with final development of TONE's core Audio Activated QR technology. He assumed his role as Chief Production Officer in 2016 and is focused on core-product development and deployment.

Prior to his tenure at TONE, Fred conceived, produced, and managed radio, television, and digital programming for the largest independent sports network in the world -- the Motor Racing Network -- with distribution to over 600 radio stations, satellite radio, digital streaming, and in-venue video screens servicing over one million permanent grandstand seats.

In 2002, Fred created, launched, and directed content production, programming, and logistics for the largest outdoor sports-venue television network in the world, today known as “NASCAR Vision”. He continues to perform as 'the image voice' for The Motor Racing Network - appearing on weekly national radio and streaming broadcasts of NASCAR Cup, Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series events, including the Daytona 500. Fred received the National Motorsports Press Association Broadcaster of the Year title in 2019.

Fred is committed to community service, raising funds, and producing content for numerous charities including The NASCAR Foundation, Doernbecher Children's Hospital, Dove House Children's Advocacy Center, Live Baby Live, and The Astronauts Memorial Foundation.
